This album is packed with interesting and sometimes dissonant developments and interpretations of the great Brian Wilson's music. To justify the money to buy this though, you have to be REALLY deep into the genre and be ready to listen to some strange sounding stuff. This is definitely not for the casual fan who likes the summertime fun hits of the Beach Boys; rather it is for those who wonder where Brian might have alternatively gone with Heroes and Villains if not constrained by commercial issues. If you are not familiar with "Hit the dirt, do two and a half, next time I'll leave my hat on" and what that means in context of the song it is a lyric to, pass on this album and spend your money on something more mainstream.
