This sling has been great for our puppy who has needed lots of socialization before he was fully vaccinated, since you're not supposed to "set them on the ground" in public where many dogs have been until they have all their shots. He needs some enticing to get him to feel comfy in there, so I reward him periodically (or when I know he may start to get excited and squirm) with tiny pieces of freeze dried beef liver or if he's had enough rewards for the day, I bring an antler for him to chew on (many times I need to hold that for him but, whatever works). It's like having a newborn but it's a canine newborn, having a puppy. I try not to fuss over him too much because he's a canine but he's so damn cute and sometimes, they need "pacifiers" too!!This sling also doubles as a a "diaper/doggy" bag and when we travel with him and he's in his crate, we bring his water, food, toys, poo bags, and leash in the sling, and anything else. The little leash on it works well for my puppy too, and stays loose enough. I do have to adjust the sling often on my shoulder and sometimes I feel like Ziggamundis is uncomfortable in the positions the sling allows him to sit/lay in but as long as he's not in there longer than 30-45 minutes and I help position him easier since he's basically laying in a bag (and he's peed and exercised plenty before getting in the sling), he seems to be fine with it and just hangs out. We took him trick or treating with us and he seemed to love it. He even relaxed enough to fall asleep for a while. It's also really well-made, he's chewed on it when I've forgotten a bone or antler and so far he hasn't been able to put a hole through it.This sling fits my frame well, for my partner on the other hand-- not as much. I'm 5'5"-ish (and pleasantly plump with bigguns') and he's 5'10"-ish (prob 175lb). He can wear it but it's more snug for him and puppy. It works though, enough. If my man were a larger fella, it wouldn't work well, tight on my partner and puppy could get trachea damage. My puppy weighs about 9lb-ish, for reference.Love it!
