My grandson is 2 and he loves this.My son absolutely loves these puzzles! Helping him with grip and talkingKnobs are small. But a 18 month old should not have any issues.Seems to last even with some rough usageThis is definitely a good gift perfect for age limit recommendExcelente me encantaronWorks as advertised,Nice Size pieces for toddler hands and nice size to see the picturesI was excited to find these so my son can practice his pincer grasp and fine motor skills. Yet, when I opened them and took out the real wood animals the sides needed to have been sanded. The wood had many small pieces of wood on almost all sides ready to give many splinters. I ended up taking over an hour sanding each and every piece so they are now safe for my son. I am not sure if this is a knock off brand because my mother in law has some older ones and they don't have this issue. If this is not a knock off brand, then Melissa and Doug need to make these with better quality wood or a better saw. So that they don't slinter at all the edges when they are cut. I did decide to keep the product because they are cute and did come in good packaging material to keep them from being damaged (cute animal colors on top are ok). I gave these a 2 star review due to the safety issues of the slinters on all edges of all three puzzles. I got a splinter while examining them. It would have been awful if I did not first check the wood sides before I gave them to my son and he got injured. I expected more from such a well revered brand. It was quite surprising that the quality of the pets peg puzzle was not as good as the farm puzzle. I'm unable to recognise all the animals, or maybe there are two different kinds of dogs in it. But the farm animal puzzle was way more attractive. Even the pieces don't have a perfect fit in this one. It's still really good compared to other brands but I'm critical because of the difference in quality of two similar puzzles of the same brand. This was so worth the money. I bought it for my 3yr old niece and while I thought she'd get bored with it pretty fast, it proved to be one of the most engaging toys ever. She plays with it often, and asks us adults to tell her stories based around the animals. Got to say, it brought out my creative storytelling side like never before ;-)The material is sturdy and doesn't have any sharp edges.Posting this review after 2 months of using these puzzles. They are of a good quality with clear bright pictures. My child who is 2 years old spent a lot of time on these the first day. After that his interest levels started to decline. Tip: I then started to put them away in the cupboard (something I do for most of his toys) and bring them out one at a time twice a week. So he still spends time and likes to play with them. Just not everyday.I like this puzzle as it is very easy for a child to play with. It helps them to develop fine motor skills and matching skills. It is colorful and fun. It is good to learn the farm animals names and sounds as well. She plays with it and sings Old MacDonald! The only reason I don't give 5 stars is that the painting is already fading around the animals, just from the child trying to put the pieces back in place. It is a week old and it looks like it has been used forever. Overall it is a good puzzle.I bought this for my grandson and he loves playing with it. It is durable fun and engaging for him to use is and plays again and again. But more importantly he has learned to identify and also learn each of the animals names and sounds. Wonderful.
