I don’t do a lot of reviews but I am so happy with this pet bowl for my furkiddo who has a lot of fears around the types of food bowls he uses. We had a similar one that was shaped the same way but it was ceramic and didn’t have a handhold and was so hard to hold onto that I dropped it and it broke. My guy has not been happy with glass, metallic, or any other bowl that has 90 degree sides. He was a nervous wreck to eat out of any of these unless I held it for him. I decided to look for another curved shaped bowl for him and came across this one. I’m so happy to report the bowl is a huge success for both of us! He is very comfortable using it and the non slip bottom helps too. Also I never have to worry it will slip from my hand and even if I did drop it there is no way for it to break. I also love that it’s made from recycled resources. Kind of a long review but I felt I wanted you to know that this is an excellent product in so many ways. Thanks! We've seen a lot of water bowls. A lot. We board dogs and most people bring their own water dish. That's how we discovered this brand: One of our wealthy clients came with a set of these dishes and we used them for more than a month. The day she took her dogs home, we looked up where we could buy these. When we found them here on Amazon, I was surprised they came is so many colors. We chose bright green and orange because 1) They were so cheap at under $11, and 2) Bright colors are easier to see and less likely to trip people.Great features:Big - 70 ounces is a lot of water and we don't have to refill several times a day even when there are several big dogs drinking. Now it's a matter of keeping water fresh rather than seeing if the bowl is empty.Solid material - It's a much better plastic than any other dog dish we've seen. You can kick it down the street and it barely shows a scratch. It's made in Italy and even has the designer's name printed on it because he's justifiably proud. The handle - It's heavy when full, but that handle makes it easy to pick up and carry without spilling. Very clever.Doesn't slide - It has three rubber-like feet. It stay put better than any other dish we've seen on carpet or tile.Good height - Because it's low, even the smallest dogs can reach it and big dogs just love the large area where two can drink at the same time. After trying out, literally, several dozen different water dishes over the past year, the best until now was an old stainless steel cooking pot with handles. This is the first one we actually hunted down to buy, one for inside and a second to put out on the patio. It's just a really good water bowl.I love these bowls. The base and the hand hole are genius. Dogs can't tip it over. You can lift the bowl of water with one hand and no thumb! The plastic is thick and sturdy but not brittle. The antimicrobial surface is a big plus as it resists bacteria and slime. I wish I could find the extra-large like I had a decade ago, as my 3 dogs share it so I have to rinse the dirt out twice a day. I tried stainless steel but the thin rim made it hard to pick up and the water always smelled like metal to me. I prefer this style and brand in the jumbo size. That way the water is cleaner a little longer. Its a dog bowl. Its durable: we bought two 7 years ago, and one finally cracked and the other is still going strong. Its easy to clean: dishwasher safe and its smooth surface doesn't even need much cleaning after a good licking (they dogs, not us). We use the 9 ounce size for food dishes (two have 2 Havanese, 15 and 17 pounds), and recently got the 36 ounce size for a shared water bowl, All that, and you can select from a variety of colors. Plus since its made from plastic no worries about rust. And you will appreciate the built in handle when picking the bowl up. Finally, one of our Havs used to enjoy tipping the waster bowl over, and that has not occurred since we went to this model.I had been wanting to replace our cat's IKEA food bowls, as they were cheap/lightweight plastic so they were covered in tooth marks and tended to slide around the kitchen as he ate. Other food bowls had various issues. I finally tried these on a whim, and they are perfect. They are a solid heavy plastic that is textured on the outside but smooth inside for easy cleaning. The handle helps lift the bowls level without spilling. The bowl is deep but small, perfect size for a cat and minimizes how much food spills out over the sides. And there are three little rubber feet which keeps the bowl in place, assisted by the heavy weight of the bowl. Best bowls ever!!!It is awkward and heavier than I was looking for, however other aspects that I did want it had. The price was right but I really wanted the blue one which was about ten dollars more... (just for a different color!!!) So I went with the cheaper one. Its a good quality dog dish, just would have liked the blue one for the same price...this bowl is better than you'd expect. very heavy duty, seemingly impervious to stains. love it. well worth the shipping wait. This 70 oz pet bowl is perfect size for my big Old English Sheepdog. It looks sturdy, fancy, and made of good material. I'm so satisfied with this purchase and I strongly recommend for you!I have just ordered another 2 of these bowls.......they are brilliant! One of my dogs is a rescue collie who got really stressed whilst in the shelter and got into the habit of chucking his water and food bowls around his run. He would not be able to pick this up ....it is VERY sturdy and really quite heavy when full of water ! ( I wash it, put it back on the floor, THEN fill it with fresh water from a jug ....much easier !) I've had my original one for years and it's still going strong ! At this price, it would be daft not to get more!March 2015. Having recommended these to a fellow dog walker, I checked the price....eek! I know they are tagged as "Designer", but, if colour is not too much of an issue for you, would suggest that you scroll through the colours available.....they vary in price considerably!Love these dog bowls, I bought the medium ones and they are perfect for our Cocker-pooh!Great design, easy to keep clean and of high quality too! Highly recommend!Lovely colours !This is the 3rd one I have bought. I use this one as a water bowl while the other two are used for food.Easy to clean and stable so the dogs don't push them around.During the warm summer days I was worried my dog didn't have access to enough water during the days. I wanted a large bowl that was pretty, would go with the other bowls she has, is machine washable and is durable. This bowl in size Large met all of the criteria, partly because the colour matches the other bowls I have from this brand. The bowl is massive and slightly difficult to carry around when it is full. There is a hole on the side to make it easier to grab & carry it, but the edges feel like they are stopping bloodflow to my fingertips when carrying it full. Luckily I don't have long distances to carry it. I am considering buying another colour, but for now I'm happy with the red one.Beautiful bowl, easy clean and heavy, great quality and doesn’t slip on floors. . bit expensive though.
