Needed a bed he could hide in. My little dude has crazy anxiety with storms and even with medications he needs to be swaddled. We haven’t had a storm since receiving this but he loves it so much he sleeps through the night without panicking and hiding somewhere. It should be noted he was found dumped in the the middle of nowhere and barely survived so his anxiety is fully justified and he’s blossomed into the cutest, sweetest little pup. Nonetheless, this has a been great add to our home and it’s brought him comfort. 10 out of 5 stars.I have bought several beds for Annie and they have their place but not on my bed. Most of them were donated to rescue organizations. Anyway she sleeps in my bed but tends to disappear under the sheets and far down and I was afraid she would get tangled or too hot or not enough air. I know that sounds silly but how could I get a good not sleep when I was worried about her. The first night she slept on top of the bed and the second night she dove in and turned around and went fast asleep. She loves it and so do I. She still wants to sleep around my neck or on my shoulder, but if I move too much she dives into her bed. Thanks for satisfying us both.I was going to send this back, and that is the reason I only gave the company a three. Although the bed is soft, it doesn’t stand up in the front like I thought it would & its smaller than I thought it would be. When I requested a refund I was informed that I’d have to pay shipping back to them (as I thought I would), but they were also going to charge a 20/25% restocking fee. I thought that was not cool! I decided to keep it bc after all this I basically give it back to them. After I worked w her putting her in it especially when she’s sleepy, she finally decided it’s a nice place for a nap. ❤️?We bought this for our hairless cat, but our haired cat loves it too. So now I have to buy another one. I’ve gotten these type of beds from other brands and the cats will sometimes not use them. This design is great because it doesn’t collapse on its self, and the cats approve!! The self warming def works very well.I bought this bed with the hope that my dog would use this rather than my blankets and sheets, especially when he has his own, but I understand he doesn't have the thumbs to always lay them out in such an inviting way so he is left to use mine. However, my dog refuses to actually use this correctly. He will not go inside, but instead will sit on top of it, which makes it no different than any other bed he has. I have to physically place him inside ALWAYS, but once he is inside he stays. I still gave it a good amount of stars because this is a behavior issue rather than a product issue. I did take one star off though, because this thing is a lint trap and if I knew this before I purchased it, I probably would not have gotten black. This thing had a lot of lint on it day two, and had me thinking hard about where all the lint could have possibly come from. Maybe this is not a problem for other people, but when it sits in my living room I like for things to be aesthetically pleasing to the eye.Fits my 11lb chihuahua mix perfectly. Initially he just slept on top of it but now loves snuggling in with his paws in the air. When it's time to visit Grandma I put his pop up crate, dishes and a few toys in, and we're good to go! It's very attractive and cozy for my dog. I'm very pleased with this purchase.Like another reviewer stated, I was shocked and really disappointed that the spots are brown! Not what I wanted AT ALL. However, my sphynx kitten thinks it’s the most wonderful thing ever made so we’re keeping ours even though I hate how it looks. She LOVES her cozy little cave. It IS very flat, like a previous reviewer said, but that’s actually what we were looking for so it works for us. Really a shame about the misleading colors, though. It’s for my little dog Toby who absolutely loves to curl up inside and feels very safe it’s a very nice bed I would recommend itGreat bed! Exactly as described and super soft! My dog loves it! I just wish they made them big enough for humans!UPDATE: Six months in, multiple trips through the washer and dryer, no problems whatsoever!I have the 22 inch ones, perfect for dogs under 10lbs. We do rescue, and are currently owned by 11 dogs...the old Cozy Caves were getting threadbare after 7 yrs and needed to be replaced. All but one of the MinPins loved them - she just laid on top and used it as a mattress - as does the Pom.Oddly, my beef with the old ones is they did not stay open...my beef with these ones is they stay a bit TOO open (I use them in crates, so yes, with slight side support they do stay open) and I fear there is too much "outside air" getting into their "sleeping bags". But, likely that is my issue a no one feels cold or is complaining! They are Pin, Chi, and Pom approved. I find them super soft, thick and plush. Worth their costly price tag.We tried this for my puppy who loves to snuggle under blankets to stay warm. It was super soft, but the 'opening' did not have enough structure to truly be a cave opening. He struggled to get in and we therefore had to return it.My miniature (6lb )Shitzu Poodle cross loves burying herself in this as does my small (7lb) Tuxcedo cat. It’s soft and the cave opening on the 2 black ones I bought stays open. However I found same cave at Pet Value for $29, which is substantially less than what I paid for these. Check your local pet stores for a better price. Our little dogs disagree over who gets to sleep on it. I will have to buy more. Only complaint is that they come only in boring colours. I like bright colours more. Primary red, orange, fuchsia, sky blue, teal would be nice nothing mute or pastel.
