I see some negative reviews, but people this stuff does not **eat up the poop**. You have to pick up poop and wash it down with the hose and then spray the stuff.Anyway I bought Dogs in my home and I don’t want to smells to bother the neighbors, I use this religiously, not only do I love the smell I love using it. Every time I pick up poop, if it’s good we all went down with the hose or some water, then I’ll spray this heavily on the area. I don’t even use the hose attachmentI keep several bottles filled with this stuff throughout my yard so that wherever I am and I pick up poop, or if I see a dog pee I can spray it down.Definitely worth the moneyI have a small section of turf for my two pups. I spray the area weekly and it minimizes the odor from them.We have a small turf area and three dogs in the house, and this is my third purchase of this.Simple Green. I use it for everything. When I found the odor eliminating product I was ecstatic [wow.. I just now realized I didn't know how to spell ecstatic.. fail] Anyway. I have 4 dogs. Unfortunately I don't have grass but i do have a lot of pavers, concrete, some bark areas and artificial grass. What that means is that I have to spray pots, a rock wall, part of my deck and the artificial grass. No biggie. The dogs get a lot of exercise away from the house so this is only when they can't relieve themselves outside the back yard. However... I use this products about 3 times a days... yes... three times a day... I cannot get the smell out and honestly... it seems like the sweet smell attracts flies and bees [this is my observation only... it is probably my imagination ... no dis on simple green ... they rock regardless]Would I recommend this product? Believe it or not... my answer is 'yes'. My sister has had great success. Simple Green really is an amazing product. Due to the amount of product I use and the price and 'not so great success'... It probably isn't the perfect product for my particular situation. I still use it because there is some improvement by using it... but I'm likely going to continue searching for some better options. This works GREAT. Gets rid of the odor in my permeable tile floors and makes it easier to train the dogs because they can't smell it anymore.Makes like 15 gallons or something it's really concentrated. Such a great deal.My dog was going crazy by the corner of the house and wouldn’t stop sniffing and agonizing over whatever she was smelling. I know she thought something was invading her territory. I cleaned the house wall with soap and rinsed. Tried vinegar, etc; nothing helped. One application of this stuff and now she walks right by like no other animal has ever sprayed there! After one month, she still ignores it. I am impressed!!I used this product on my concrete patio which my new puppy had been using for her toilet breaks. The product is very helpful in removing urine odours. Like most reviews state, best to apply at night during cooler temps and to re-wet the surface area you wish to be cleaned by the product. The smell is nice and I would purchase it again.NEW IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!!DO NOT use Simple Solution Stain and Odor Remover in lieu of this product as stated in my last update. Use this Simple Green Product! For months we had bouts off and on of diarrhea and vomiting. Nothing serious, and we kept chalking it up to nerves with the training dogs since it was so inconsistent and would last only a couple of days. But still it was weird since it was becoming more regular. Turns out as the weather warmed up we were spraying the yard more often, sometimes shortly before the dogs went out in the evening. Once session it was especially bad and we took a couple of dogs to the vet. They tested negative with parasites and there was no indication of bacteria or a virus and the vet suggested that they had eaten something. DING DING DING!! We actually worked it out that the vomiting and diarrhea seems to always start the day after we sprayed the yard, then it would clear up, then we'd spray the yard again and it came back. We didn't keep written records or anything, but there seemed to be a rough pattern. We immediately stopped using Simple Solution and went back to Simple Green and BAM! No more diarrhea and vomiting. I still recommend Simple Solution for indoor use, but it MUST be dry before letting your dog near it. For outdoor use stick with this product. To compensate for it not being as effective, just be sure to use it before the pee smell is too bad. If we wait too long and the smell is strong we have to use it for 2-4 days to get back up to speed. So it's more important to use it on a schedule. We use it 1-2 times per week, and up to 3-4 times a week when it's hot. Keep in mind we have 8 dogs at a time peeing on it. And make sure you're using lots of water! Also, we only use it after all play time is done at night so it has all night to dry, just to be safe, even though we've never had this product cause health problems. In fact, late one night I had to give a puppy an extra potty break. We had already sprayed the yard and there was even a shallow puddle of solution and water, which of course he ran straight over and started licking! I got him away as fast as I could, but he got a few licks in. We watched him carefully the next day. No illness at all! So now we are very comfortable with this product and can use it with confidence.UPDATE:After several months - and very hot summer - of use, I have decided that the Simple Solution Stain and Odor Remover works better than this one. Really I would venture to say that it helps to alternate. Maybe they each kill different strains of odor-causing bacteria. If you aren't having great results, be sure to check out Simple Solution, even though it's labeled as an indoor product. The downside to that one, though, is that it has a stronger smell. I do love how this Simple Green one as no discernible odor of it's own. It still works very well and I'll leave my rating at 5 stars since I think I'm really trying to achieve the impossible (perfectly stink-free lawn) and I'm happy to have any help at all!Original Review:Works great on our artificial lawn. We live in Southern California and keep dogs at our home for training. We'll have up to 8 dogs pottying on about 1000 square feet of fake grass for two weeks at a time and it gets STINKY. We fill a hose-attached pesticide sprayer with this stuff and douse the yard. The smell is completely eliminated. In the summer we use this 1-2 times a week. There is then no smell for at least a day or two and then a very mild stink for up to a week before we have to apply it again. In the winter we use this only once every 3-4 weeks. There is no smell for about a week and then a tolerable smell for a couple more weeks.Be sure to spray this on the yard AFTER THE SUN GOES DOWN. The UV rays will kill the living enzymes and it won't work. I tried it. It won't even work on a cloudy day. Also, be sure to use a generous amount of water. Don't just spritz the grass, give it a good soak. We use about 16 oz for our 1000 square foot yard, but it takes about 15 minutes to apply it with a hose sprayer since we use a lot of water. We've experimented many different volumes of cleaner and water and this combo works well for us.We have tried a few different products on the patch of artificial grass that our dogs use and this by worst the worst product we have tried, it literally makes no difference the grass begins to smell again after 15 minutes. I wouldn’t bother wasting your money on this.Excellent product well worth paying a little extra, one application and the smell of dog urine was eradicated, would recommend this product every time!Very good does what it saydI tried following the directions many have given in the reviews, used it closed to evening time with a soaked yard, it did not come out as smoothly as I had hoped, and for the cost of the product you would of hoped you’d get a little more product as I wasn’t able to do my whole yard and the bottle does not look like it’ll enough refills to justifying buying that for the savings. Will be giving Natures Miracle a try.Yes it did eliminate the odour, but before this I was using lemon-scented soap to wash off my problem areas and watered my grass lawn which did a similar job for a fraction of the cost. This might be more for places with Astro-turf or a dog run, save some cash and just use some dish washing soap.Worked for 10 min. Waited overnight and the next day the smell was back and I think even worse. Did a little reading and sprinkled baking soda everywhere and the smell is gone. You don't see the baking soda either as it falls I to the artificial grass
